The Agricultural and Environmental Development Society ( AED) in Gaza strip , declares the starting procedures of implementing " Rehabilitation & supporting the needy poor fishermen " project , financed by the French General Consulate in Jerusalem .
Mr.Mahmood Ghanem , the AED society manager assured that such projects aims to lower the suffering of many needy families in Gaza strip , and in particular the fishermen families whom suffered from the last Israeli war on Gaza strip , and whom still suffer the brutality of the continues destructing activities of the Israeli military forces in daily basis .
The AED society Manager added that this project will support the poor and needy fishermen by maintaining and repairing the small rowing boats , distributing the quantity of Ten (10 horse power ) boat engines, and four different kinds of fishing nets . Mr. Mahmood Ghanem assured again that more than 60 fishermen will benefit from the project along with 50 skilled and unskilled workers will work in the project in 5 months period , which will partially
increase the fishing sector productivity along with creating jobs opportunities to the needy fishermen ,that will improve the livelihood of the fishermen and increase the fisheries productivity , which will easily contribute in achieving some sorts of food security in Gaza strip , which will positively affect the fishermen income .
The AED manager affirmed that the society will continue its efforts toward the restoration of what the last Israeli war in Gaza destroyed .
